Tender for Airborne Gamma Spectrometry Systems to the Danish Emergency Management Agency
1. Description of scope of Tender1.1 IntroductionThe Danish Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) is a governmental preparedness organisation under the Ministry of Defence. The nuclear division NUC” is a part of the DEMA which has the responsibility of the nuclear preparedness in the event of a nuclear accident. To strengthen the Danish nuclear preparedness, DEMA hereby call for tenders for full gamma spectrometry systems consisting of minimum 8L NaI(Tl) crystals, perhaps as two separate 4L detector modules to be used in mobile airborne surveys for mapping of ground level contamination of fallout. DEMA is expecting to make an initial purchase of 2 identical systems during the Contract period, aswell as having an option for additional purchases. 1.2 Contract and equipmentThe tender will comprise of a 3-year Contract. The Contract is valid from the date of signing and expires on 31 December 2011, after which they may be terminated without notice. Notwithstanding the above, the DEMA has discretionary powers to extend the Contract by further 2 times 1 year extensions, following expiry of the original Contract. 2. Offers should be made on the basis of the EU open tender procedure as per the EU Procurement Directive. Contract notice was submitted to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) on 10.06.2009 and was expected to be published in OJEU within one week following receipt.
